Here's some hints to keep in mind while shopping this Christmas season.
  • Don't take the kids
  • Go in the morning when your not tired and have energy to deal with the crowds.
  • Take a bag with you. Put a bottle of water and a healthy treat in it. This will be good for smaller packages, and receipts, that could be easy to loose.
  • Don't take your wallet, put your card in your back pocket, that way you won't put it down somewhere and if someone swipes your bag, they won't get your wallet.
  • If possible don't wear your coat or too heavy of a sweater, yes it's cold outside, but it's warm inside and the last thing you want to lug is your bulky winter coat. You're only outside for a brief time.
  • Try to make sure that there are as many adults as kids in your shopping pack, it's easier to watch one child than two.
  • Buy all your gifts via the internet. No instant gratification but it will be like an early Christmas when the packages are delivered to your door.
  • Make a list and stick too it. There will be tonnes of different ways stores will try to get you to impulse buy, this will only put you in more debt.
  • Have lunch at a sit down restaurant, not the food court. You'll welcome the break and it will give you some rest for the next round of stores.
  • Do your shopping in November.
  • Try to shop during off hours, go at night, or go on a weekday. Shopping with the kids? Here's some pointers.
  • Take snacks for them to munch on while at the mall.
  • Take some extra water for them, staying hydrated is good for the nerves
  • Take a break - often, they get tired.
  • Make the Toy store the first stop while you have energy to deal with the "I Want...."
  • Whenever they say "I want.." tell them to put it on the list. This really works great.
  • If they start loosing their tempers and making a scene, take them outside until they are ready to go in. The fresh air will do everyone some good.
  • Make them a deal... If you behave you get..... make sure they know exactly what behave means.
  • Keep your expectations realistic, let them know what you expect from them.
  • Don't go for the whole day, split the shopping experience up
  • If there is no line for Santa (like when does that happen) let them say 'hi'
  • NO absolutely NO sugar before you go.
  • Take a bathroom break everytime your near one, even if they don't have to go it is better then rushing back later.

Tips and Hints for Christmas Shopping at the Mall
Christmas shopping is stressful, trying to find that perfect gift that says how much someone
means to you and at a price you can afford. Add in the mall crowds and the parking lots and
you have a receipe for a headache and I don't mean one of those nice small ones.... I mean a
big huge whopper of a migraine. Here's some tips for those of you on your way to the mall to
    find that perfect gift.........
Direct Sales Reps for Home Party company's are a great resource for your Christmas
shopping needs. It's the Christmas season, time for entertaining, do you have a Christmas
cookie swap party? Why not add a direct sales company's products and make it a Christmas
cookie sway & Christmas shopping party? As a hostess you will receive free gifts and your
guests will get some stress free Christmas shopping done. Don't want to host a party? Most
independant consultants will hold open houses and other events this time of year, they offer
specials and stress free shopping. If you are thinking that all direct sales companies have
only expensive products you are wrong. Most all direct sales companies offer high quality
products with great warrenties and some, like Latasia Jewelry do so at an affordable price.
As well, why not buy one potato peeler you will have forever instead of buying a cheap one
every 6 months to a year? You'll be saving money in the long run AND reducing junk in the
    landfills.

In years past rural families would wait with great expectation for the SEARS Catalogs to do
their shopping. Sitting in their favorite chair circling those items they wanted while sipping
on some hot coco. Today instead of catalogs, which end up in landfills, we shop via the
internet for a wide array of products. From the comfort of our homes and like the rural
families of yester year we have Christmas when the mail arrives!

As you may be able to tell, I'm not much of a traditional department store shopper. This is
why I am developing a new way to shop, a way that is affordable for all and a true shopping
experience. If you are in Calgary, come by my open house, have a coffee, tea, or even a coco
while you visit with friends and do some Christmas Shopping. If you aren't in the Calgary
area but would like to check out the quality and value of Latasia Jewelry email me and I'll
send you a catalog. Regardless of how you choose to do your Christmas shopping this year,
enjoy it afterall it is the season of joy & cheer!
